How long is a child in the sponsorship programme for?

Our aim is to help those who wish to help themselves. The length of sponsorship will be different for each child. That's because sponsorship is affected by many factors: the child's age when sponsorship begins, the family circumstances, success in school and other contributing factors. In the case of orphaned children, they will require support until they graduate from school.

For children from deprived families, we provide support to enable them to gain work and become more self-reliant. This can be a long process and may take many years. Sometimes the family may reach a time when they can take over the majority of the costs if they improve their earnings. However, seldom will they be able to afford all of what their children need.

As the circumstances change for your sponsored child and their family we will keep you up to date and give you the opportunity to change your sponsorship contributions, or help to provide another child a CHANCE in life.
